Everyone has a problem at one time or another. Juggling the demands of work, family, and other obligations can be extremely stressful. The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) helps UTA's diverse population find solutions to these daily challenges by providing information and referrals to assist with life events of all kinds and to help manage unexpected disruptions of work or study.
UT Arlington offers a comprehensive insurance and retirement benefits program to employees and retirees. The staff of Employee Benefit Services focus on assisting you in understanding and maximizing the benefits programs offered to you. Our mission is customer based and service oriented.
Employee Records Services is responsible for the processing, maintenance, compliance and retention of University employment and personal records according to Federal, State and University rules and regulations. The staff of the Employee Relations area provides coaching and advice regarding performance management. We facilitate the diagnosis, development and implementation of action plans to address causes of workplace conflict. The staff of this department is able to advise the campus on employee relations matters and policies including conflict resolution services and mediation services. We may also be called upon to teach, guide, coach and support the campus through dispute resolution and grievances, appeals, reorganizations, layoffs and TWC Unemployment hearings.
The mission of Human Resources Education program is to educate the university about all federal laws, state laws and university policies and procedures relating to Human Resources. This will be accomplished by monitoring and tracking initiatives and implementing programs to train employees on policies and procedures in response to the needs of the university.
The mission of The University of Texas at Arlington Office of Human Resources Management and Development is to provide a professional and responsive approach to human resources. We are committed to provide quality service to Faculty, Staff and Students in the areas of policies and procedures, benefits, compensation, employment, training and development.
Leave Management assists both UTA employees and departments in understanding the various paid and unpaid leave programs that the university offers, such as Sick and Vacation Leave, Sick Pool, Family Medical Leave (FMLA), Military Leave and other forms of leave We also administer Short and Long Term Disability and assist employees in understanding and filing claims for these benefit programs. We strive to be efficient, knowledgeable, and courteous in providing assistance and administering these programs.
